Support Help for Inserting Images
Inserting Images
You can insert just about any image or clipart for use in your stationery. Be sure it is a good quality image, generally in .jpg or .gif format. Better to take a larger image where possible. You will have to play around with the dimensions to get it right.
Tip: To insert lines, the easiest way is using "Grab" an application on your mac computer as described below. But make the line huge on your computer. Then take a 'screen shot' of it using grab, cropped to the size you want and insert that. Sometimes you can create the line in Pages or a word processing program and insert this.
How to Insert Your Signature
Scan a good copy of your signature. You can scan your signature if you want in a large image, making it even 6 inches across or larger using a felt tip pen. Then after scanning this into an image, crop the image until it is cropped just around the edges of the image, of the signature, the closer the crop to the signature image, the larger it will appear in the Signature Field on your stationery.
Tip: On your Mac go to "Applications" and then find "Utilities" at the bottom. You will find a program called "Grab" This is tremendously useful for turning anything on your screen into an image you can use anywhere including your database. For example, you may really like your own picture on your letter head. Just Grab it using Grab. Open the document you want to copy. Then open Grab. Use your command + Tab on your computer and you will go back to Grab. Then go to "Capture" at the top of the screen. Select "Selection". After playing with it for a while, you'll get it right! Save your picture after you select it to a place where you will remember where it is by going back to "File" and then "Save as".
How to insert a 'Picture Custom Letterhead'
For the ultimate in flexibility with your letterhead, Circuit Data On The Go can insert a picture of your letterhead. Then you can use any letterhead you want and it will appear on all your letters. Use Grab, but make your letterhead as big as possible on your computer and take a 'screen shot' as large as you can. Then simply insert this picture into your letterhead. It might again take some playing around with, but the bigger the screen shot the better the quality of the image. You will probably not be able to tell if from the built in letterheads! Super!
